Internation women's day - Charlotte's story

International Women’s Day 2026 – Give to Gain.

For Executive Producer Charlotte Edwards, this year’s International Women’s Day theme ‘Give to Gain’ feels less like a slogan and more like a truth she has lived and witnessed throughout her time at CTL.

“It’s crucial to grow individually,” Charlotte reflects, “but it’s just as important to ladder-up,  and then put that ladder back down for everyone else.”

Because for Charlotte, success only matters if others can climb with you.

Growing through investment

During her journey at CTL, Charlotte can list the investments poured into her with ease:

  • Financial, in the form of real backing for her learning & development
  • Mentoring, through guidance and leadership support
  • Educational, including Catherine approving her to take a PROSCI Change Management course
  • Emotional, through trust, belief and time… arguably the most valuable

Completing her certification as a Change Management Practitioner didn’t just help Charlotte move forward. She immediately turned around and used it to help others move with her.

Within weeks, she built a clear, accessible internal training module designed to upskill the Communications team, deepen expertise across the board, and strengthen CTL’s ability to support clients with even more clarity, insight and confidence.

That is Give to Gain in its purest form.
Charlotte received knowledge and turned it into collective growth.

Opening the door… and leaving it open

Charlotte is candid about the challenges women face:

Imposter syndrome, self-doubt,  belief that you must be 100% ready before stepping forward.

But she is equally clear about the thing that breaks those barriers down:

“When someone brings you in… champions you, and brings other women along with you… that’s true feminism. You don’t go through the door and close it behind you. You hold it open.”

At CTL, this isn’t rare. It’s cultural.
It’s collective.
And Charlotte sees it every day.

“Together it feels like we are creating something bigger, something brilliant… and you get to watch others rise on the tide.”

Visibility matters and leadership inspires leadership

When asked what keeps her at CTL, her answer is immediate:

Visibility.
Inspiration.
Leadership to look up to.

Charlotte speaks openly about the impact of watching Catherine grow as a leader:
“It fuels me to keep pushing for bigger and better. She’s given so much to us. She has grown, and because of that, the business has grown.”

And while feminism is at the heart of Charlotte’s story, she is quick to note:

“Feminism isn’t only about women. At CTL, men and women support it. And the men here respect and support strong women.”

It’s a workplace where everyone benefits when women thrive because everyone plays a part in lifting, supporting and celebrating the incredible women within the business.
