International Women's Day 2026 - Give to Gain.

Four years ago, Teigan Harbour realised something wasn’t quite aligned.

At the time, she was a Producer at CTL, managing technical work between clients and third‑party web developers. The work was good, but something about it didn’t match the CTL philosophy: that every project should feel unified, aligned and unmistakably “CTL”.

So, at just 24 years old, Teigan did something brave.

She reached out directly to Catherine, CTL’s Founder & CEO, and pitched a bold idea:
What if we built our own digital department?

A team with a clear CTL voice, aligned to client goals, embedded into the wider studio.
Delivering digital the same way CTL delivers everything: thoughtfully, creatively, collaboratively.

She offered not just the idea, but herself.

“If it makes sense for the business… I’d love to lead it.”

She expected nothing.
She got everything.

“You’re the Head of Digital.”

Three months later, Catherine handed Teigan an opportunity that would transform her career… and CTL.

Teigan became the Head of the Digital Team, a department that didn’t yet exist. It was both exhilarating and daunting. But she didn’t start entirely alone. Two producers joined her as the team’s first members.

The brief was simple:
Take it. Shape it. See where it can go.

What followed was remarkable.

Within the first year, the team grew to four.
Within three and a half years, to eight.
A department once just an idea now sits at the heart of CTL’s creative offering, aligned, integrated and thriving.

“It grew way faster than I expected,” Teigan says. “But Catherine trusted me. She believed this team would bring value to the business and to our clients. That trust was massive.”

Using her opportunity to create more opportunities

Being given that level of responsibility so young has shaped Teigan’s entire leadership style.

She leads a team that, refreshingly, is almost perfectly 50/50 women and men, a balance not always seen in digital teams.

She pushes her team gently but consistently:
Where do you want to go? What else can you do? What opportunities could be yours?

Just as CTL opened a door for her, she works every day to open doors for others.

“My own career goals changed massively over the years, in the best possible way. So I always try to help people rethink what their careers could look like, and then give them the support to get there.”

Give to Gain: The power of speaking up

Teigan uses her story deliberately, not as a “look at me” moment, but as proof that opportunities here aren’t hidden or reserved for a select few.

She encourages everyone at CTL to speak up when they see an idea that could make the business better.

“The worst anyone can say is no. But the best is that you could end up with a whole new department or purpose within the company.”

Her story is a testament to this year’s International Women’s Day theme, Give to Gain. Catherine gave Teigan trust, belief and a chance. Teigan used it to build something extraordinary, and now gives that spirit of opportunity to her team every day.
